Depends on what's available locally. I don't subscribe to cable TV so RR would cost me about $65 per month.

That's no bargain when my server offers wireless internet for $35. I try to stick with local servers if I can. They usually don't have software to bog down your system.

Some DSL packages are cheaper than RR, but I don't know how fast it is compared to RR\cable.

Either way, it might help to 'tweak' your system with info from speedguide.net

DSL is actually kinda of hard to get in terms of support to your area. Ironically enough for DSL to work the phone infrastructure has to be "outdated" If you have cable tv subscription usually they have some sort of package bundle deal thingy. The only determining factor for high speed Internet is pretty much price. They'll give you a lot of junk that you don't need in terms of software, and pretty much all companies have the same response time to outages. Have fun plugging into the high speed world ;)
