Bichon Frises and Cairn Terriers cannot do this (not that they would, temperamentally).
But, "slinging" is part of the pit bull's reportoire, as is "dragging" and "biting."
The beat goes on, and on, and on, and on........
Pitt Bulls aren't bad dogs. It's the owners who refuse to properly socialize, train, and supervise their dogs. That goes for any breed.

Cairn Terriers most certainly will "sling" a smaller animal they attack (and they are TERRIERS). I've seen a Cairn grab a young kitten and kill it ferociously.
The same Cairn bit the neigbor kid (to whose family the nasty thing belonged) in the face.
They are not all cute little Totos.
Never heard of slinging before.....
I am so tired of debating this topic with you. It doesn't matter how many stories you post about a "pitbull type" attacking. I could name you millions of people who have owned them & never had a problem. But, those stories don't make the paper.
If your agenda is to ban the breed....I know you will fail. If your agenda is increased owner responsibility....then stop pinging me to these threads...I am a responsible dog owner.
ahhh, I just read the article. Who leaves their 4 year old child alone with any dog? These people are just stupid. My neighbors chow mix attacked their 3 year old (15 stitches to the face) & my brothers cocker spaniel attacked their 2 year old baby. Both dogs are now gone. No responsible parent whould ever leave a child unattended with any animal.
