We have three half black lab/Komondor mixes.

They have long black dredlocks and look like Whoopi Goldberg:-)

And, they weigh 120 lbs each and EAT ALOT, too.

We have 3. A 4 year-old Rottweiler, a 4 month-old puppy from the pound that looks like it has some Dobermann and German Shepherd in him, and a lil' 2 month-old Beagle puppy we might try to make a hunting dog out of...if he isn't gun shy.

Of course the 3 dogs all do whatever the 17 year-old tom-cat we have tells them to do, lol!

(When the cat isn't looking down on the dogs with a look of sheer contempt on his face!)

1 old golden retriever (there's something else in his genes, but the golden retriever ones are dominant) and a 16 m.o. registered golden retriever who must have an irish setter brain. My most frequent words to her are "stupid dog!"

She belongs to our 13 y.o., hopefully she will calm down and mature. The dog, I mean. Come to think of it, both of them could calm down a little.

My favorite dogs from the past are a Dachsund we rescued from the pound -- smartest dog ever, a beagle I had when I was a child, and a stray black lab who followed me home from a walk and who lives with my son and his family.

A rottweiler and a 13-yr-old chow mix live outside. Inside the house is our Lhapsa-Apso Poodle mix, Toby. He's as laid back as they come. He thinks he's a big dog, and has perfected the art of looking-pitiful-for-treats. ^_^

"I don't have one, but the person sitting next to me has a chow-collie mix. No, no dog hair problem there."

Yeah, well, the person in the work station next to me IS A DOG.

My dog looks virtually the same as yours, but is female. So I am using your picture. You can't tell the difference from this angle. Thanks.

"Maya" is named after the Mayan Indian tribe in Guatemala. She is very active and just had a clear vetting this past week. She's up on her shots and "legally" tagged again. She likes to run.

When I walk out of the barn she crouches down and waits for me to walk by. She's right in the middle of the lawn, but somehow believes she is invisible. As I walk by, she attacks and starts to run around me in circles, barking. She knows that it's "playtime."

She's great with my two boys - but the 5 year old must be watched closely so that his "play" doesn't hurt her. He likes to sit on her.

Thanks.

You know, TXBSAFH, you may not have posted this thread to the right subject, but it appears 99% of us are overlooking that aspect and are enjoying it anyway. Good idea.

Mini Schnauzer that does a need trick. Ask him "Would you rather be a dead dog or a democrat?" and he immediately rolls to his back and sticks all 4 paws in the air.
