Looks like you had a good time:)

I just got in from riding, and feeding, it turned in to a very lovely day with the exception of it being a bit windy.

Beth and the POA lady rode by while I was in the arena. The Poa lady was riding one of Beths horses. After I finished in the arena I went out to catch up with them but never did.

I came back and had to catch some of my roosters and put them in a crate. They are killing my hens. Too many roosters for the amount of hens I have. Beth has a friend who might take them, otherwise, will I'm not sure what I'll do with them, but they're not getting loose around here again.

Whew... I was out workin' in the yard all day, got the worn bare spot in the yard right in front of the porch softened up, got seed down and watered, and got a temporary fence up so the dogs can't get in it. There's more area to do, but at least part of it has been started. Softening it up when it's so compacted is hard work by hand. I wished I had a tiller! I tossed a little hay on top to hold moisture in.

Come on now.... GROW!

This is the temp fence I put around the whole front yard, you can see it barely in the pic above. I re-used an old roll of field fence ... Now the dogs HAVE to use the doggie door in the back, they can't get to the front door. I like those little step in posts, we bought them at the feed store sale a month ago.

Why dont you take some roosters to the market?
We have never had any problems with ours attacking our hens, they have fought each other, and it got messy, but once a "pecking" order was established, they exist together fine. As for clearing up the yard by eating tics and other pests, they are great!
