Delivery was very rapid, we saw her go down from the house, and by the time we got to the barn he was born. Spent some time getting bran and warm water down the mare, toweled the colt off, etc. Just kept the mare down for a few minutes 'cause she was weak, although not as bad as before. Don't think she was overdue.

Colt is up right now and walking around, still not nursing though. He's obviously not a rocket scientist. Got a call into the vet. Fixin' to have some breakfast :)

It's a confusing world... they ~did~ put his food in a place I'd never look.

I hope he vet checks out fine. :~D

Is he suckling around looking for milk but just can't find it? or is he not seeming interested?
