*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*
Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Thanks for trying, but Travis says the model of camera they have it won't work with the computer.
I need to get mine fixed.
Becky
Indeed.... rats!
I checked out her website for running bear farm and it is beautiful! I have sent a link to Deaconjim! : )
All right everyone --- now that the Free Republic Book Club thread seems to have expired,
Anybody have any favorite horse (fiction) books? Hairofthedog needs some good reading for the airplane so she won't worry.
black beauty!
Very useful translation! Thanks!
Black Beauty is WAy too sad! We just watched that movie a couple weeks ago... Had us bawling.
"Joe - It's me Joe! Come back!"
WAHHHHHH!.
I do have the Book "Watchers" that Becky recommended that I haven't started yet, I'll probably bring that on the trip.
A million and a half is just a wee bit more than I had planned to spend. If we go that much, I won't be able to buy RoS the new laptop she's been wanting.
They work quite well, too. So far, that's all that I've been able to find that Lightening hasn't defeated.
It's nice but nothing like I want. The house we built here looks almost identical to that one. I want to downsize to a log cabin or older home in the mountains!
We have 10 acres with two houses on, both 2 years old, one is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house designed for wheelchair, disabled use, a barn, 2 storage buildings, 2 wells. At the other end of the land from the 3 bedroom house is our 4000 sq ft house complete with hot tub and pool table, 19 rooms. 3 paddocks, 1 large 40x40 dog enclosure, a large metal workshop, chicken coup and run. The house just needs trim work.........all for the tidy sum of $450,000!
Any offers???? : D
RoS forgot to mention the pool, (above ground) and there's a tack room. Please call for a showing appointment!
LOL you are a nutcase! If you see any good vacation rentals PLEASE send me details, it seems so hard to find one that is secluded. : )
I couldn't find a post about when you are leaving but it seems soon. Yall have a good trip and enjoy yourself.
It's not for a week.... week from today.
I've only begun to freak out ;~D
LOL I start packing about a week before we go on vacation, deaconjim thinks I'm crazy, he's probably right, but I get so excited! I do all the packing anyhow, that way I know that we've got what we need, I love to go away on vacations! : D
What are some other Irish dishes besides, corn beef, cabbage, soda bread and green beer? What's a nice dessert?
Here is a good link to some Irish puddings. I still remember the apple and barley puddings my grandmother used to make.

I also Love lemon curd! Especially on sarnies!
