Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

By the way, if any of you like country gospel music, I'm listening to a new CD I bought yesterday and I highly recommend it. It's Johnny Cash, My Mother's Hymn Book recorded about months before he died. It's just Johnny, a guitar, and his mother's old hymn book recorded in a log cabin at his home in Henderson, Tn. It's pure Cash, and brings back a lot of great memories.

I listen to C/W but mostly contemporary. My husband likes the old stuff. I would like to hear this though. I love the old gospels.

I'm working in the office tonight (at my job) and I've got it in the computer playing now. It makes working a lot more enjoyable.

It's really cute. And it has a little window that you unzip for the dog to stick it's head out. Only problem is, they were out of little dog ones so my dog purse says "kitty" on the side. Oh, and it's pink, the epitome of froo froo.

I just don't know what to say, when I said we must be related, this "pink purse with kitty on the side bit" makes me think not..............LOL as well as all the yucky "what to do with PB" posts!

Deaconjim got the johnnycash cd, i got the "I can only imagine" by mercy me cd, I had to fight him to put my cd in MY cd player in MY car! Grrrrrrrrr!
