We have been bickering since yesterday on what we are going to name this little dog so my husband called the dog pound where I got her to ask if they had any paperwork on her, hoping her name was on it. They even did one better, they had the previous owners phone number and called them. Her name is CATHY! Yuck. I think we are going to call her Cassie, since it's similar and we all like it better than Cathy. They also said she's a min pin/yorkie mix but she doesn't look like it to me.

Why'd they give her up? Did they name any specific annoying habit she has?

All they said was that they couldn't afford to keep her anymore. They also said that they had her for 1 year but didn't specify how old she was when they got her.

So far we haven't had too many problems but she's not house trained, maybe that's why they gave her up. I don't have a problem house training her, I've done it before with minimal effort.

I just went to the pet store and got her this doggie car seat. It's like a mesh box that you hook on the back of the car seat and it sits up high, where she can look out the window. We drove around with her in the car, running some errands, and she never moved out of her seat.

We've got it sitting up higher than what they have in the picture. I'll have to get a pic of her in it, it's sooo cute.

Heh... I've seen those... does it have a little harness that holds her in?

You know... I'm half tempted to go get a little lap dog myself. I love big dogs, but I also really enjoyed my little Zulu.

No! After these trips.

Do it! Do it! Do it!

The dog wears her harness and it buckles to a strap on the car seat.

NO! :~D

Not till we get back from trips!

Did you look at the website and see this dog? or did you go down there just to see what you found? What prompted you to go right then?

I got a dog purse for her to fit in, too. You could get one of those and take a little dog with you on your trips.

I was at Tae Kwon Do with my kids and the animal control was 5 minutes away so while my kids were in class, I just took a run over there. I really wanted a medium size dog but when I went into that kennel and this little scared sweetie was pleading with her eyes for me to take her home, I melted. I turned around and walked right back out, went to the animal control office and said I'd take the yorkie.

They really didn't have any medium sized dogs, all they had was the yorkie and 1 rat terrier , then a whole slew of huge dogs. There must have been 30 big ol' dogs in there, 2 per cage. It really was heart-breaking.

Heh... I've got a truck... I am not opposed to taking dogs along on trips... but I'll never get a little dog purse :~D

The first thing deaconjim does every morning is bring me coffee in bed!

That's not entirely true. The first thing I do every morning that she's aware of is bring her coffee in bed. Before that, I get the kids up, dressed, fed, and take them to school. She gets her coffee when I get home.

Couldn't you tell? RoS would never use the words "good" and "peanut butter" in the same sentence.

lol. Thought so. PB very high in fat. Even the low cal stuff I buy. It's a tasty and easy way to lower calories and fat and get calcium in.
