*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!

The cabin looks really nice. There are so many beautiful ones in the Tennessee, North Carolina mountains. Sometimes it's so hard to choose.

Just getting caught up here. I got off early last night to get some sleep. A stress test at 6:45 am was in order for me. They about killed me on the treadmill, then x-rays. I did go to work for a few hours, then had to go back for the resting part of the test. No way was I going back to work for a 2 more hours. The sun has been shining and it's in the 40's, so I washed all the salt off my truck.

I had to have a stress test done about 6 months ago, no coffee for me that morning! My doctor met me at the place where i took it and he stood there with a steaming mug of coffee. I very nearly flattened him when he waved it under my nose, telling me how GOOD it tasted!

Sounds like they worked you pretty good. Was this just a routine physical?

I did have a cup of tea this morning. They only said don't eat..lol My doctor was late getting there, which the nurses said is routine for him.

I had a angioplasty in 1994, so my doctor keeps an eye on me. I had been going to the Y and exercising and he wanted to make sure, I was ok. He said things looked good, but I will get the whole scoop on Friday. My legs are what bothers me, when I do a lot of walking. Old age, I guess.

I just came in from doing my planting:), I couldn't wait any longer. I have lilies coming up that I just noticed. Now is all I have left to buy is a varity of annuals to mix with and fill in with what I have.

I planted my glad bulbs all around the perimeter of my picket fence. That will give me something to tie them up to so they don't land on their faces when they bloom. Glads are my very favorite flower.

Looney will be here in a while and we will ride:)

Becky
