*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*
Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
See what I mean? Yet she eats pickled beets on buttered bread!
"Does he have a name yet?"
Funny you should ask that, we are still fighting about what we are going to name her. I like Sally, my husband likes Peaches, the kids like Killer.
A sarnie is slang for sandwich.
A beetroot sarnie is just that! bread, butter, pickled sliced beetroot, ranch dressing, another slice of bread and take a bite! YUM!
My husband adores peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Elvis used to fry them in butter. If I ate that I'd have to have two of them, one for each hip.
What's a sarnie?
My australian shepherd is called Sally.
My English setter/Australian shepherd puppy is called Benji
My bassets are called
male= Baxter Doolittle
Females= Jessie May
Sassy Pie

fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches is a waste of good oil!
Well, I'm not gonna knock until I try it. I like pretty much anything that has ranch dressing on it.
You really don't like peanut butter? It's good for you, lots of protein.
Not fried peanut butter and jelly, fried peanut butter and bananas. I don't like bananas so I don't eat that.
Beer stinks too but alot of people drink it.
I love your dog names! I think Sally is really cute. I also like Sweetums.
:')
I love peanuts,ALONE but dont put them in anything, or on anything and certainly dont chew them up into a mess and spew it into a jar and call it peanut butter! I swear thats how its made URGH! : D
I ADORE avocado ranch! There is a restaurant in downtown Fort Worth called Del Frisco's and they have the best avocado ranch dressing I've ever had. It's got a little bite to it, like it's got a dab of hot pepper in it.
You have heard of our southern thing about peanuts and coke, haven't you?
I don't think someone personally chews it up and spits it into a jar but I could be wrong.
