*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*
Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Let me know when you start....of course you won't want to put it down to even post:)
Mack read it in a little over a day, then made me immediatly start, he sat and watched me the whole time I was reading it.
Becky
Heh... so if I read it, I'll disappear for awhile but you don't need to call out the search party ;~D
Yea! We're winning
WEll just let us know you've got it, and I'll know where you are:) Beleive me it is well worth the read.
Becky
Wooo! You're fantastic! Thanks for rootin' for us!
OK! I hardly ever go to ~town~ for anything... but we do have some Amazon credits. ;~D
Well, if you haven't read it by the time you get here, you can read mine when you get up at 5:30:)
Becky
:~D
Koontz is a favorite of mine also. I read the Watchers first and while I like most of his books, it was by far the best :)
I am a fan too, I also like Stephen King and James Herbert. Has anyone else read James Herberts "fluke"? I think it ws made into a film. It was very good. He also did a series of books called The Rats, The Lair and Domain. I cannot go on a underground train after reading those!
Is that the one about the "outsider"? (Don't want to go into more detail if it is and spoil it for hair)
I've not read him, I'll have to take a look at one of his books.
No, the Watchers features a dog.
I've read Fluke. It was a great book. Watchers was really good too.
I was looking at my horse today and across the chest there is now long hair that sticks out like static. I worm every month. If this is a winter coat why would a horse be getting it this late in the season?
Anyone up?
I am. You still there? Is Hair coming down to go riding with Becky? I haven't read through all the posts.
Good morning
Becky
