What kind of books do you like? I'm not real well read, but beyond Tolkien, I like Grisham (legal thrillers) and Clancy... Some Steven King.

Teddering is different than conditioning. The best way is to use a cut and conditioner hay mower combination. The mower mows the hay which is then fed between two turning round steel cylinders (like old wringer clothes washers). These rollers have small strips of steel welded to them and as the hay passes through, the strips break the stems of grass in several places. As a result the stems dry much faster than lying out in the sun a few days. The cut-conditioner combos are expensive but worth it if you do not have the time to wait while the hay is drying normally. Just looked at the price of a used one in a farm magazine, $9,000.00.

A tedder is similar to a rake in that it mainly picks up loose hay and spreads it out for quicker drying. It can also be used to make a fluffy hay windrow for shorter drying times. It is a handy machine to have in a haying operation.

That's what they do here... They may do it twice if it's cool out.

Now that we have and use a tedder, I don't know how we made it without one before......

Heh I'm only a temporary football fan right now because the Pats are in the superbowl. Have to root for the home team.

My preacher said at the rodeo yesterday the announcer took a poll to see who the fans wanted to win. The third choice was the winner. (Don't care. Just want to watch football:')

Hope you team does well then, Beaker.
I am not into spectator sports. If I can't do it, I don't watch it. Only horse racing..lol

Been a beautiful weekend here. Low to mid 50's. Snow still on the ground, but it's melting. We put in a bunch of fire wood yesterday, and today I went to the gun club, and shot some trap. It sure was nice to get out. ;')

The foals are beautiful,Sharn and Jim

I like Little House too. But I've seen every episode soooo many times, I practically know them by heart. I saw they were on today. I like the older ones better.

We just watched a few episodes of The Practice, that is almost as good as BL:)

I liked them all really, just the older ones best.

I still read the books occasionally. I love the descriptions of the way they did things, smoke their meat in a hollow log, make cheese, their christmas's etc.

No - it was a crime novel I thought... about a real life murder... or do I have him confused with someone else?

I've read quite of few Koontz's books, but would only reccomend 2 of them, Watchers, and Lightening.

If you like animals you really should try Watchers. There is some very strange parts in it, but you'll love the dog and the people who have him.

You may be confusing him with someone else. Koontz is considered "horror" like King. He does get way out in left field, especially as he got more popular. Bad stuff I did not enjoy at all. But Watchers...well you have to read it to understand. It is so well written, great characters, humor, pathos, excitment, some horror yes, but over all it's great, and you'll love the dog:)
