Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

There's not much in OK, but Robbers Cave is one of the nicer places, IMO.
We'll probably play it by ear and just see how the spirit moves us while you're here. If we want to ride ALOT more then what we can around here we'll go. If hanging around here is good enough we'll stay. Just you'll have come so far, you might want to see at least a little of whats around here.

I love playing it by ear. Really, everyplace down there will be new to me, I'm easy to please.
Got the hay tarped - crawling up and tarping the hay was really no big deal. It was just way up to the rafters, and it looked intimidating ;~D
Way up by the rafters....no way would I go up there:)

Just one thing. Please, if there is something you want to do, or don't want to do, tell me. If we talk about trailering somewhere and you'd just rather lay around here say so. It' won't bother me, I can go anytime.

Sunday is one of my favorite nights for TV. Boston Legal. It wasn't on last Sunday, and it's not on again this Sunday:(.

Well usually Desperate Housewives is on at 8, and BL at 9. The last 2 wks they've put Extreme Makeover on aat 8 and DH at 9. I have no clue why. But that EM show is stupid:)

LOL...I'm not a big TV fan. I've got a few show that I like.
We got a Dish DVR satellite recorded last summer. We very seldom watch live TV now. We just record the things we like then watch them when we choose to. That way we can fast forward thru the commercials. It has imporved TV watching tremendously.
I watch some every day, but most of what I watch I can take or leave. I mainly watch because being winter there isn't much else to do. But I Have to see 24, Boston Leagal, and ER:)
So who all are football fans?

Sure... they're open on Sunday... only till about 5 though.
I like to read too. My problem is I haven't found any really good books lately, my daughter and I were reading Tami Hoag last summer, but I'm tired of her...
All the books I have here I've read so many times....I need something new.
