Our tank here is enormous... 12 feet long and almost that deep. We could use it as a bomb shelter if it didn't smell so bad in there. I wished I'd have taken pics while he still had the lids off, but it didn't seem appropriate. ;~D
It's out in the untamed back forty. If they do need to dig a new drain field, the good news is there is lots of land here. It would be more of a disaster at the beach house, where space is limited and it takes the approval of every greener at the Depts of Ecology, Shorelines, Fish and Wildlife and the Dept of Approvals Dept.
Ecologically/Politically, I like septics over city sewer systems.
