Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning! Happy Friday!
I *was* going to take the day off to do some work around here, but almost everyone else at work is out sick, so I'm going to go in at noon after I take the kitties to the vet.
And the third kitty is now sneezing. *sigh* I guess that could be a sign it's something fairly minor, since they're still chipper. Do cats get the equivalent of colds?
Soo...just finishing breakfast and coffee, and then I gotta start loading trash and other dump-bound items into the van. Maybe take a couple boxes to the Salvation Army, too, if they'll accept 'em. Books, mostly, since the local bookstore isn't taking any at the moment.

Yep...saw that one but it's the Metru Nui series one that they want...#8601, wouldn't ya figure. He's the big guy on the cover of the book...

I think they're pretty cool toys...my boys love getting their dad and sitting in the floor working on putting them together, then they don't fall apart when they play with 'em!
They're only about $7 in the store...not too expensive for the entertainment they provide!

I'm thinking of taking Matthew to see
The Passion Recut...it's supposed to not be so violent and I'd wished he could see the last one but for the violence. It was almost too hard for me to watch, Matthew certainly wasn't old enough. But so much of it was wonderful.
I imagine I'll check it out first then decide.

2J from what I understand, they've mostly cut the scourging scene, which was probably the most graphic. I'd still be hesitant about taking someone Matthew's age. Good idea to check it out first.

Yeah. I still plan to buy the DVD, just to support him.
But I don't know that I could ever sit down and watch it again.
