Heard of it.... Haven't had it that way.
Hope you weren't looking to us to walk you through it ;~D
I'm pretty sure Ivar's Salmon House still does a cedar plank. I'll bet Carlo knows about it.
I saw some planks for sale at the fish market and couldn't figure out they are used without burning up. I guess they get hot on top like a frying pan long enough to cook the food before they burst into flames?
I'll stick with the grill and olive oil.
Thanks. My brain isn't functioning properly tonight (long week).
I didn't know either!
I answered your freepmail before reading this.
My only concern is to whether to send him the Camillus "Black Ops", or the Camillus "Campanion" (which I misspelled as "Companion" in two dozen cover letters).
What a terrible thing to do to a lovely cedar plank!
Well... it didn't work out so good for the fish, either... But it's good for the hungry fisherman! :-)
Graciousness, girlfriend, you can troubleshoot Macs and PCs. You can look higher than "basic!"
Hi there Miss Rose! A good evening to you.
I'd rather eat the plank.
Bah, my fingers are tingling so it's no good typing (or, of course, coding) But if I goof tonight, tomorrow's going to be nasty - and I might have to miss church Sunday... no, I won't do that...
Sorry, I'll go dither quietly.
Uhhmmm... OK. :-)
I know what you'd probably say but getting drunk is not an option. I've only got one bottle of wine, and some vodka but nothing to mix with the vodka.
Once a month down yer terlet. It's not too spendy.
I've had it that way. There's some Indian villages around Seattle that will do it that way for tourists. We flew over to check one out when I was planning a convention there. (the place was where they "found" Laura Palmer's body on Twin Peaks...anyway). We hired one group to come over and cook salmon that way at the science museum. It was vey tasty.
In Virginia theres a tradition of cooking shad on a wooden plank. One of the old time political events in Virginia is the "Shad Planking." Used to be restricted to white male Democrats. And it was still all male up until about 25 years ago.
Then the price went up cause they had to start renting porta potties ~ if'n yuh get muh drift...
Actually... I've been told that Rid-X is really not a good thing. Not sure I can back that up right away... but I'll look around.
Are you talking about Blake Island?
You must be thinking of the Blake Island indians? Yup... they do a salmon bake that is pretty much world class.
ooo...lemme know afore I use it again...
