Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, I'm printing out kitty posters - going to put one at the vet right off and put up the rest over the next few days. May wait until I let them know at work...there are enough people who go to the local grocery story and such who might recognize my number or my cats that I don't wanna jump the gun there.
And the lady that bought the table and the treadmill said she might be by sometime this morning, which actually really ticks me off, though considering she just gave me a bunch of money, I didn't say anything. I HATE not having a definite time for something like that. It's not like I don't have other things to do! But I pretty well can't go ANYWHERE until if and when she comes by, and I don't think she'll bother calling ahead. And I only have her work number. Which I guess is my fault, too...but still...grrr < /rant >

Yep...free cat with every furniture purchase!
*sigh* I have one family that wants Halvah. But they don't do indoor cats. They'd let her in at night when it's cold...but she's never ever lived like that. AND they live in a relatively high traffic area. Seems like just asking for trouble.
I feel like I shouldn't be so picky...but this is hard enough without putting them in that sort of a situation.
And g'nad...no joking about this, please. I know you hate cats, but I just have no sense of humor about it right now.

Well, that's a lot~
It's cold here... not sure what we are going to do today, but it won't likely be all that!
I started to try to walk for exercise again, and set out at a good pace, and cramped up all over immediately. I think I need Potassium again. This happened once before :~\
I'd work out, but we have no bananas.

I'm also facing the fact that it's likely I'll have to put Cleo down if I don't take her. People just aren't interested in ancient cats. especially ones who may have reoccurring cancer.

crappie...

From an article entitled "Crappie Fishing in Ontario"
If I didn't know better, I'd look for the companion pieces, "Miserable Hunting in Alberta" and "Camping in Baffin Bay: Not a Good Idea".

There's another ShootEx scheduled for today over at the Silver Bullet. If I go, the M1903A3 will get a workout.

Indoor/outdoor would be one thing... if they would keep her indoors for several days till she gets settled, and then start letting her out when she needs to, but also in whenever she wants. That's what we've always done here. You never know, she may enjoy being outside, and she won't likely wander far, as long as she's comfortable with where home is.
But these guys ~sound~ fairly rigid about it.
