Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

WINTER break. Yeah. I don't remember getting that...even when I wasn't homeschooled. ;-)
Then they also get spring break - in April. And there's a fall break around Thanksgiving and then Christmas, too.

g'mornin'....need more sleep....
Jen - Get thee to an infirmary.
Ruthy - Go thou and do likewise (how's that stomach pain?)
Watched "Mystic River" last night. Actually finished it since the first Netflix disc was goobered up. Good movie. 'cept every other word starts with "F"...
g'nad - They've found methane gas on Mars. Much closer to findin' the origin of yer species.
In family news, life continues. I've decided to tell people that Nana is "between hips."
Takin' Luke to the circus tonite. Didn't I swear last year that I didn't want to go back? Actually should be better. Got better seats and we're not takin' the cousins.

Good morning everyone!
I'm perplexed!
Yesterday I had a pending debit in my bank...$100...I was expecting it so was glad to see it was pending and that it would likely clear the bank and be debited from my account by the time I got up this morning. The balance even showed an available balance minus that $100.
Then, this morning, I get up and that pending debit is gone, doesn't say it cleared and the available balance is back up $100!
Wha?

What do you guys think of the idea of posting a vanity to look for homes for the cats? Is that a crazy idea or an abuse of FR...or is that kind of thing done?
I've never posted a thread...

It's a crazy idea that has worked before! There's a cat ping list, run by "Slings and Arrows" I think. Do you have some cute pictures? I'd borrow a camera or even buy a disposable and take a bunch, if you don't.

There's got to be a logical explanation.
Give your bank a call before you spend it again. ;-)

Go for it. There are vanities for far less serious stuff.
FReepers are amazingly resourceful. And we'll help you keep the thread pinged.

Yeah...heh!
You know, one time I had a strange debit come through my troop support account. It has $36 and some change in it and it's not mine so it NEVER changes. Or shouldn't. One day I notice it's $15 short! Some sort of service charge from a free account!
So I call 'em up and they said my mail was being returned so they charged me for it! I said "Why is my mail being returned?" and they read me my address and it was correct! The lady apologized and put the money back in...
I gave her an earful about how that wasn't rightfully my money and went toward troop support and stuff...
I bet they make a ton from people who don't watch their accounts closely.

Yep. I check my account 2-3 times per day to see what is clearing.
