Evenin' folks. Sorry if I missed you in the pingages. We're in a different facility tonite (closer to campus). But the wireless connection here is vey weak. I'm just stoppin' by to say hello and give a Jr. update.
Wife talked with guidance and asst. principal today. They are allowing him to move on to Geometry (new terms starts Monday) and we will figure out what to do with Algebra. Turns out without the test he was only off by one point. With the test (which was sprung as a surprise after four snow days) he was down by four.
IF he has to take Algebra over again at the school, we'll do it in summer school. Solves a lot of issues. If the school says he doesn't have to retake it, we're going to hire a tutor to take it privately so he'll be okay for Algebra 2.
Checkin' out for the evenin'. Looks like we may be drivin' home in ice and freezing rain.
See y'all Sunday most likely.
g'nite
Cool pics!! Though I miss the lump under the covers on the bed that would be Miss Kitty.
Question: Why is the snow sliding off the car--you have a garage (sniff)!
Roger that. At work I just use my laptop and have never gotten into the whole thing of having a separate kb/monitor for it. It works pretty good the way it is.
At home, though... I finally sprung just a few weeks ago and got a new Viewsonic 19" LCD monitor for myself, replacing the old trinitron CRT (with the massively burned-in image of my weatherstation embossed on it). Shuuuweeet. It's so much nicer to look at.
Then there's The Whole Ball of Wax...earlier I had Duelling Planets, but The Big One won...
'Niters...
Sadly, I've lost my copy of the book. Though I know where the sequel is...
Good story, no complaints with the FX for the time.
'Niters for real :)
Bah. Heretic.
Argh, this programming language is the most exasperating thing either. And the textbook doesn't explain anything at all. I have to do all the homework without using assignment statements, or using loops. It's all recursion. And these dumb parenthesis are going to kill me.
You sneaky evil person.
Sorry to hear your new programming language isn't going well though. Lack of good documentation sucks.
I've got a DVI adapter if anyone needs it.
It's going to be a little frustrating for a while. It's a language developed from LISP, with all the fun that entails. Ack, no objects! How am I supposed to cope?
You know... generations of programming was done before object oriented languages ever existed... ;)
Yeah. On punch cards. I don't really want to try either way.
This language would be ok if I could find a good reference. The textbook just has some examples without explaining anything - like, how do you do a negative? Or an 'else' clause? I think I may check out B&N tomorrow on the off chance they have a book I spend three hours reading.
