Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Wait...Steve could do it! He's gonna be in the lab this weekend. He bakes something like that...are they called "crucibles"?

They also make glass ones.
To: Overtaxed
Cool! Wonder if they'd make good rammekins...like for custard and such? LOL
(I really like a simple baked egg custard.)

The ones I've used would make pretty small custards, but I guess they make them all sizes.
To: Overtaxed
That's the impression I got from Steve before...the ones he deals witih aren't real big.
Mmm....now I'm thinking about custard, though...

...or at least a creme brulee. But I don't have a torch to toast the top.
To: Overtaxed
Ok...I don't like grape jelly that's all clumpy...you know...doesn't spread smooth. Too 'jelled" you know?
My grape jelly is currently that way, so i'm going to attach a whisk to my hand mixer and stick it down in the jar...see if I can make it smooth!
This is liable to be a disaster or a success...

Ya know, I did the spell check thing to look for "broulee." It wasn't in the list, but "Bree" was. LOL!
To: Overtaxed
I think you got it right the first time...I knew just what you were talking about anyways...

That's better!
Only catch is...turns out Petfinder doesn't do pictures for classifieds unless you're a shelter. Grrr... And I don't know if my ad even went through. It didn't show up. And I think I want to just take it down. I didn't word it right and they don't allow modification - only deleting.
Maybe the vet's office is the best bet after all.

Good evening!
Well...my livingroom just keeps getting emptier. Just got rid of the coffee table and two chairs. Those are going to friends who might give me a few bucks for them if they can, but I'm mostly just happy to have them out of the way.
Down to the sofa (which is pretty sad), the bed, the dresser (spoken for), the dining table and chairs, the computer desk, and the Really Good Chair. Oh, and the TV and microwave carts, but those shouldn't be too hard to get rid of. Bothers may take the TV cart.
