Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It may be cut so you could wear it with heels, but if it's so long that it won't hang right, you can have it hemmed.
I wish Sonya would have picked that dress. she chose sleeveless (very unflattering for me) in January.

I'm really, really, really glad she didn't pick sleeveless! I don't do sleeveless.
It looks like a very nice early spring dress! I could still prolly use the super underwear, but at least I can zip it. I wasn't sure that'd be the case.
Also this place sizes stuff normal. It's my usual size, which is kinda nice. Not that it really matters since sizes vary so much, but you know what I mean!

Heels...ick. I need to get some and practice with 'em, I think. I don't own shoes I can wear to this.
But heels are evil. I'm clumsy enough as it is!

Thats a LOVELY design!! Although I tend to agree with you : the lavender is probably not the best color to use with that design. Its better in the white or red that it first shows. But definitely a lovely design.
If you want to make yourself feel better about the color though, here is a site that could probably do it :

Course there are no shoes made that match it. you could maybe get away with white, or the ones they'll dye to match.

Hey, I just made spaghetti with the ground turkey I've been buying lately. Not too bad! Actually, not bad at all! The jedis really didn't notice anything unusual and I could really only tell there was a slight texture difference! I prefer to give the jedis red meat, but right now the 69 cent price tag on the ground turkey was a better idea. I'm so proud! This is the tally...
Ground turkey 1lb .69
Hunt's Spaghetti sauce (in a can) .89
Spaghetti noodles, (39 cents per 32oz box, I used less than half) .19
That's 1.77 for an entire meal WITH LEFTOVERS!

I'll likely go with white.
But I'm gonna attempt to get Ben to ask his fiancee what SHE wants us to wear. We'll see if he can actually remember to do so. ;-)

What about hair? Is there a hair advisory also? I'd get him to try to find that out too ;~D
The kindest thing a friend of mine did when she was having a formal wedding with a tomboy like me for a bridesmaid was to hire a hair and makeup person to come and do it for us ;~D

Eek! I don't have any idea there! I guess I'd HAVE to have someone do my hair and makeup, 'cause I don't even wear makeup and wouldn't have a clue. And I'm not exactly Miss Fashion when it comes to hair, either. That's something I really need to find out...
Margaret and I are thinking that if we drive, we'll probably try to get there a day or two before the air travelers. That might give me time to scope out the local beauty parlors if she doesn't have anything lined up! Or it's possible her sisters could help me, I dunno.

Well, you know how to curl your hair! I never did figure that out, except my bangs and only then because my curling iron had retractable bristles, otherwise my hair would get tangled and start smoking before I could get the thing loose!
