"thought it was a treat."

One evening last week, I was doing the ritual of passing out treats at about 6:00pm. Husky girl took hers over to a rug in the living room, then came back and tried to sniff at Kitty boy's treats (but he ate them too fast). I handed her one of his treats, and she didn't even smell it before she put it into her mouth, not even thinking about it-but the minute she bit down on the little tuna flavored morsel, she was spitting it out like she thought I'd tried to poison her-she hasn't shown any interest in any treats but her own since.

Docker has hickory flavored rawhide sticks that we give him after he has eaten something soft to clean his teeth. He's 13 but his teeth are beautiful according to the vet. Simba loves those, but I have to hold onto the stick for him to eat it. Simba can chomp on something like you couldn't believe.

Simba doesn't like the tuna flavor treats either. He doesn't like the moist ones. He only likes hard treats.

Simba eats out from the middle of his bowl. Even if the bowl is full of kibble all around except the middle, he howls like a banchee. We have to "fluff" his food about three or four times a day. He wants everything just so.

Cyber took two days off this week. He couldn't believe how much Simba meows. It's not a mew; it's a MEOOOOWWWWW!
