In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs as always. Subbie is also here for THREE days. So you better be nice, otherwise you get coal on your face. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
This word is pronounced tuk er
Etymology: I dont know.
Verb:
1) Exhaust, fatigue.
I know what naughty words rhyme with this one, so be careful!
i think everyone told you that when you first started talking about it. did you listen to the audio wavs on the Pittsburgh site. Honest to God, i am still roaring, that accent is SOOOOOO pittsburgh.
"Get aht, deres a fahr in da filled!"
Get out, there's a fire in the field.
Oh. Are many deaths caused by this accent?
My county gets a bad reputation to this day(never mind the fact that minorities have won political office in this county), thanks to some prick in a hood who moved from Jersey to an area north of where I'm at. This jerk has been dead for over a decade, and the paper and AP wires have been running a story every day on this for over a week now.
Thanks to these oh-so-offended papers and grandstanding RINOS(and one closet dem), the seller of this trash is going to have a ton of bids and make a killing on his sale since everyone in the state now knows about this, and every paper in Michigan has written a story on it.
The best thing possible for the county - and for anyone that has no use for these bigots - is for that damn robe to get no bids whatsoever. Won't happen. My town wants to buy it and burn the robe to 'send a message'. It will alright. Big $$$$$$$. That's the message.
TIRED of this story.
We are not happy here, since we have a family member(cousin) who plays for the Falcons. And we just plain don't like the Eagles. Too bad, so sad for us but I am happy for the Pats.
Many of the Catholic churches in central NJ were closed today.
It's still the pretty one, the dumb one and the gay one, even if two of them are really gay. Because the pretty one and the two gay ones would be confusing.
Morning! 30 and clear here, and warmer today-supposed to get up to 58 or so. Our alarm clock self-destructed and went off at 4:10, and we have been up since then-so breakfast was done early, hubby's and my lunches packed, hubby is just going out the door to work, and I'm typing a bid-I've got to see a customer at 8, and they are about 30 miles away, so I've got to leave early.
The chicken piccatta turned out great, and hubby said put it on the table anytime-he loved it-many thanks for the recipe...
It's 20. Brrr. Time to wake up kiddos.
'Bout that cold down here.

13 F here and there is a 2 hour delay in Fairfax Co. i am staying home to take xsbrownie since the rest of the family is going to freeze their behinds off at the March For Life.
well i will let Hobbes speak to the liberalism of NJ parishes, but cancelling a Mass for weather is not anything i have ever heard of. i would be willing to bet that St Anthony's where he attends, didn't cancel anything.
Brrr! That is cuckin' FOLD, Loney! And again, thanks for the lovely chicken recipe you and Grimmie posted.
I wish I lived close enough to attend the March for Life-the only time I've been to an abortion protest was a couple of years ago when I stood with about 40 of my neighbors and fellow church members across the parking lot from a planned parenthood "clinic" on a Saturday morning. One of my neighbors was wearing the coolest T-shirt, too-it had a picture of a cute white baby seal on it, but underneath the picture it read "Save the Baby Humans".
Welllllll, 1" (much less 3" of snow) would have shut down Atlanta.
i will send the camera with them and maybe they can get some pix.
11 people at the 11Am.
