i say GO FOR IT! sounds great. i wonder if you could get a priest to come and actually bless the room? do you know anyone that could get one to come out there for you?
I love the way your mind works!!!!
I will not be giong anywhere today. I have no desire to even attempt putting that little car of mine on these icy roads.
My friends were talking about taking the kids roller skating this afternoon, and if they do will pick Jax up to take her.......I've got an online meeting this afternoon and so can't go.
i will check their website, but Catholics don't generally cancel Mass, period. Protestants don't hold church mandatory, but Catholics do, as you know, but i will check. Also, other than the cold, we really did not get much snow. Patton said after he returned from plowing last evening that it looked no more than 4" tops to him. we didn't get any more snow overnight. it is just COLD and BLUSTERY.
I know whjat you mean about Catholic Masses not being cancelled, which is why seeing several of them listed really surprised me.
It's brutally cold and wickedly windy here.............and the wind is only supposed to get worse.
I don't think we even got 2 inches here, because there was so much rain. Had all the rain been snow we'd be in a heap of trouble this morning.

Amen-they keep on telling the HOA's lawyer that they are dealing in good faith and want to be cooperative, and he keeps buying into it, but we told him that they have a 94 year history of NEVER dealing in good faith, and we have sent spies to their board meetings who told us that they refer to the property owners as "f***ing idiots" and "arrogant dumbass rednecks", etc. Just how fair and cooperative is a board like that going to be, I want to know-most of us say let the lawsuit begin if they can't do any better than that. They are just needing cash to fight all the other suits against them and extortion is how they are used to getting it. And why do they want the property owners to convey their waterfront to them in a deed if they already own it, as they claim? Bulls***!
not a one here. the catholic churches listed were only cancelling CCD. i have never seen a catholic mass cancelled. are you sure they are catholic and not episcopal, bc the ST ones listed here with cancellations were all episcopal.
what message? i wasn't telling you to go to church. i was just including you as i quoted you as saying we had no more than 4" total of snow. : )
I heard that there is a priest in a little town about 30 miles away that does that kind of thing-I think I'll go talk to him. This is getting really annoying and even scary...
personally i don't know how you can put up with it. your house is much too lovely to mar enjoyment of ANY of its rooms bc of something unpleasant like that. i would definitely talk to the priest. it is worth finding out.
There are so few Catholic Churches around here, that I would have known just by the names..........but the listings included the denomination of all the churches.
As I said, it really surprised me. Although I do remember Holy Cross in Dover cancelling Mass a few times due to weather.
If we can't get rid of this cheerless, chronically depressed spook, I'm going to seriously consider selling this place to someone else and buying another one up the road...
I've never researched deeds before, but I think I'll enjoy it-I always enjoy digging into things.
do the neighbors know about your ghost problems? i would hope it wouldn't interfere with your sale of the house. does anyone else around there complain of similar problems? you would need to ensure that anything you bought would be spook-free!
I'm going to put on some nicer clothes than jeans for church and get hubby to get ready-back later...
I did a bit of it when I worked for a real estate attorney.
I could probably only hope for a spook with a nicer personality in another house-this is known as one of the most haunted places in Texas, and all but two of my near neighbors have spooks. This whole subdivision was part of the same huge ranch until the 1950's-there are people buried all over the place-sometimes they get found when site work is done for a new house or barn.
Driving in bad weather is always hazardous. Accidents do happen. Some of them can't be prevented.
But many of them can. Drive cautiously. Be prepared. Don't take chances.
Otherwise, the best step would be for the government to amend the driving code to include a new offense: Driving while stupid.
