It's a lot of snow away from the Lakes. (This is normal in the UP or West Michigan)
Poor CJ. It takes so long to heal from those injuries, I know, been there, done that.
I really love snow for a short period of time as long as there's a good fireplace and everything else is working.
i am thinking the plowman is out raking in the cash. it has stopped here for now, we will see if we get anymore. no more than 3-4 inches at this point, far as i can tell.
Just got home. Your driveway done?
Glad to hear the snow has stopped. I guess Boston is going to get hit pretty soon.
If it is going to get down into the low 20's as predicted tonight, it could at least snow a little bit, but no-just cold. We're headed out to meet a neighbor couple for dinner in a fes minutes-y'all stay safe and warm, and I hope your electricity continues to function.
I'm not telling all y'alls how beautiful it is here today in AZ. It wouldn't be nice.
Hi, Miss Slip:
With an open fire or grill. Melt some butter and swirl it round inside the skillet. Take a few large spoonfuls of dough and slide them into the skillet. Put the skillet towards the top of the flame. You want a narrow and focused low heat. The idea is to use uniform heat all around the skillet like an oven. You can cover the skillet or leave it open. Leave enough room to turn the spoonfuls of dough. About 20 to 30 minutes per side. Or 40 minutes uncovered.
For crepes. Heat a teflon skillet under a low heat. Melt about a teaspoon of margarine in the skillet swirl it round. Use a small ladle to pour in the crepe batter. Return the skillet above the heat. Flip the crepe. Reheat. It won't take long. Your eyes and nose will know when to flip the crepe out and repeat.
It's kind of a variation of the buttered Cast Iron Skillet and Funnel Cake function. Which is also great for keeping kids quiet and entertained in the kitchen when there's not much to do.
Jack.
we're fine, don't worry. so what did it look like when you were out and about plowing? how much does it look like we got? the guy on Fox keeps promising it is going to wrap around and that there will be more, but i am skeptical.
aren't you the COOKER, jack!! ; )
four inches, tops. roads were pretty clear, and heavily salted.
i will be surprised if this turns out to be the blizzard that they made it out to be, at this point.
for our area, i mean. Certainly the footage of Phila, NYC and NEng all look to be getting a beatin.
no sign of Gabz since this first started, i am betting she lost power. not like her not to be freeping, and most especially with weather like this.
yeah well sorry i left you out but you people live for this crap or else you wouldn't live up there in the snowbelt! ; ) i expect it to be doing this up your way 24-7!
She's prepared, our Gabz. I'll be praying for her and family.
Can't wait to try it. I cook outside in the summertime when the temp gets over 110. Thank you so much!
When I was born here, raised here, educated here, work here, and have all my connections here - what can I do?
