In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs as always. Subbie is also here for THREE days. So you better be nice, otherwise you get coal on your face. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
This word is pronounced tuk er
Etymology: I dont know.
Verb:
1) Exhaust, fatigue.
I know what naughty words rhyme with this one, so be careful!
well 9 am and there isn't anything for you to plow just yet. i don't even see anything coming down?
It's perfect. We should make a pin up calendar with leading dems for each month showing them in appropriate pics like this. Too funny.
Hail
you don't need to plow hail now do ya?
I dunno - did it freeze over? ;)
it took me about 30 seconds to get that. i was about to say, i don't know, i haven't been out there yet.
Good morning.
In typical DelMarVa fashion the weather weinies have absolutely NO clue what the heck is going to go on around here weatherwsie.
As hubby put it.........we're gonna get nothing but hype...........or we are going to get slammed.
He's over on Chincoteague right now at the laundromat.......no way could we make it through another week and didn't' want to chance me not being able to get over to my friend tomorrow to use her machine. What a royal pain.
Jeeez. I just dumped four machines, dang it - wish I had known that you needed one.
weather is unpredictable, not an exact science. you were wise to make a contingency laundry plan.
Welcome back CJ,
Thanks for the ping to that thread that got pulled yesterday.
Oh well!!!!!!!!!
the guy at the dump last Saturday was funny....when hubby pulled up to the scale with the machine in the truck he told the guy it committed suicide. The guy grinned pointed toward a section to the right and said "There's the morgue."
I know what you mean.
I have to laugh about the comments regarding standard storm supplies.....bread, milk, toilet paper..........It just so happens that those were 3 things we needed to pick up at the store on our way home yesterday, and it had nothing to do with a possible storm coming, we just needed them!!!
I have to run out for cigs...
i wanted to stop at the grocery store yesterday but didn't have the energy to face what i knew would be a mob scene. we have enough food to last til next week, i just wanted to get frivolous stuff to make being snowed in more fun. but decided it wasn't worth it. We did go out to dinner last night, figuring it would be the only chance this weekend to go out. though idon't know. just to spite Patton maybe we won't get all that they forecast anyway. still not doing much here.
you live walking distance from everything down there in the heart of earthwatching country. like it would be a hardship for you to get out, no matter what!
LOL!!!!!!
I may run out of toilet paper with a storm looming........but never neer or cigs!!!
yOU RAN OUT OF BEER ON ny'S EVE...
No, I just have to get moving...
