In real life, I've heard she's dating that Adams guy from MSNBC (Adams Report), which is one of life's more unfair aspects. From your picture, she actually looks fairly attractive when she doesn't have her eyes wide open, and it looks like she's had her "assets" enhanced from recent years. She says she left the show to pursue a *snicker* movie career. Thought it was because she sucked as an actress who killed any scene in which she appeared due to her forced toughness.

I figured she left because she wanted more money so the writers not only wrote her off the show, they fired her, AND had her character come out of the closet.

I agree, something about her character or her acting did seem to suck the life out of a scene, but I think she is an attractive woman.

I don't recall there ever being a hint of her sexuality mentioned in any prior episode. Am I wrong?..

FWIW, here's my take. It was announced last season that she'd be leaving the show midway through this season. L&O has never been much about the character's persona...it's always been plot driven...that may have bben successful when there was only ONE show a week..but with FOUR, maybe they want to expand the franchise to reflect personal lines. They've done it with some characters in the past. One detective had an affair, his wife and kids left him..it was a recurring theme throughout one season, yet didn't really mean anything. I've read that L&O's ratings have been dropping of late...I'd suspect that last scene, which was a few second, and just her, against a black backdrop, was added at the last minute..it was totally out of context..and gives them the option to bring her back for a few shows, or even permanently, next season... a sexual discrimination lawsuit, or she becomes a defense atty, is defending a suspect, then, in the midst of the trial, files a motion against the DA's office for sexual harrassment/discrimination..lots of possibilities..
