I am a fiscal conservative. I find W's reckless spending troubling.
As do I, but I don't think Kerry would spend any less. Clinton had a "balanced budget", but he did it on the backs of folks like me. I paid a 37% income tax under Clinton; under Bush it's around 25%.
I believe in religious freedom in this country. So therefore, just because I personally oppose abortion, how can I expect every American who does not share my faith to abide by that as well?
What does faith and religion have to do with abortion? What religious sect actively promotes abortion? Abortion has to do with morality, and there are plenty of folks like me that aren't particularly religious that find abortion repugnant. Just as you don't have to be religious to disdain burglary or murder, you don't have to be religious to call abortion by its name.
I believe in the Constitution. Therefore, even though I oppose gay marriage, if the constitution affords gay Americans certain rights, who am I to deny them?
And which Constitutional right are they not being afforded? Are pedophiles not afforded their "rights" either?
Finally, I do not believe the war in Iraq was executed in the appropriate way. I do not support it in its current form.
This is just plain vague. Would you have opposed America's involvement in World War II because the Normandy Invasion went badly or because we lost Wake Island? According to you, you would have raised the white flag immediately.
Hey, she's french. Yeah, that's the ticket
