The ending was so cool, I have to change my entire attitude now -- Chloe rules, and now I like her dark, mysterious glances. And the way she ran roughshod over the fat white computer guy (that would be me in real life).
I'll even go easy on the complaints. I'll stick to just one complaint:
Given that we haven't been able to get anybody to where they needed to be quickly enough to catch Marwan, how is it that the Secret Service Agents sent to arrest Jack got there so quickly?
I don't think we can really blame the SS for screwing up the Marwan strike -- we all know that when they started moving on the club the lookout would have seen them anyway, CTU can't sneak up on a blind/deaf/mute. Remember last week and the "stealth" boat strike.
Other questions brought up in tonight's posts:
1) The Stealth was announced as being shot down. There was no clear indication that a pilot was recovered from the wreckage, but they may just be ignoring that.
2) Audrey is actually behaving normally. Remember that Jack tortured her husband and he seemed innocent; then he promised to keep him safe and he is near death. She was going to break up with him, but she obviously loved him at one point, and I think it is reasonable that she would be mad at Jack and all the rules he is breaking and how it is getting innocent people hurt. She's wrong, but it is explanable without thinking she is evil.
3) The will not make Palmer president. It would take too long. He'll just take action while the VP/Pres watches. Until it is time for a plot twist, and the VP/Pres will overrule Palmer, and there will be a dramatic showdown.
4) On the other hand, while we all know it takes congress to appoint a new VP, the show doesn't have to follow the rules.
OK, I lied, I have one more complaint about last night's show.
Chloe was given the order to go to the house at 1:50 AM. It obviously wood take some time to put the team together and get the car.
She showed up in front of the house at 1:55 AM.
After all the action indoors, called Jack at about 1:56AM.
She was in the driveway at 1:58:33. The last 1:30 took an actually time of over 2 minutes (I have noticed the clock sometimes doesn't move with the hour).
But my complaint is that, when Jack got her call at 1:56, the nearest response was 15 minutes away. Why didn't they have anybody in CTU who could just run out and get in the car, the place was obviously only 3 minutes away if you drove really fast.....
