Glad to see William Devane back on TV as the Sec'y of Defense.
Who's running the ping list?
First year of 24 was great, last year was so-so.
This year is starting out pretty good. Loved the Michael Moore line also.

I was just thinking the same thing. What did that briefcase have to do with all this? If the case was handcuffed to him, it was something pretty top level. I wonder if it had some launch codes or something that actually has to do with the internet hacking. Everything so far has been a front to something else. And when you consider what Lockheed Martin makes... hmmmmm... I'm hooked. Will be watching for sure tomorrow.
I think the Muslim boy will kill the girl, then kill himself.

Hummmmmmm You make a good point, it did seem like the son was a bit surprised to see him.

Wasn't the 3 hour threat so they could 'judge' the SoD? I think the hacking of the internet is more than just broadcasting live video. They mat use it to show more terrorist attacks, but if they can control the internet, it almost sounds like a Terminator 3 scenario.

it almost sounds like a Terminator 3 scenario.
QUICK!! Unplug your blender!

That guy should a gotten a Medal.
And yeah he fired his gun into the air, it just happened to be inches from the terrorist's head at the time.
But it got his attention and saved lives.

"Michael Moore logic" - who said that? I'm taping at home, b/c I couldn't catch the whole show.

Hey Nutmeg! Welcome to the 24 club. I really like this show (and Alias) - good thing it's on DVD, because I occasionally miss a crucial show.

Just saw him last night on "Mars Attacks". He was great in Witness.

When they showed the internet broadcast, I got the feeling they'd show him being beheaded. The whole Internet angle is a bit silly and all-but impossible to pull off.
I thought it was silly that the female director gave in so easily to Jack. The obvious way to deal with him would have been to shoot him like he shot the suspect to extract where the computer guy was.
But the "I'm a hardass by the book person -- oh wait a minute, now I'm not" reversal was a bit forced.
"6 year old Michael Moore Logic", as said by the shows Secretary of Defense... :)

BTW, I wonder if the DUmmies are all outraged about the Michael Moore slam.

Yeah, I can't remember either way. One thing, though, is that whatever it was that was launched at the Sec. Def's car passed by the Sec. Def and his daughter from what seemed like the general direction of the house.
Hmmmm.

I admit I'm hooked and want to see how this turns out. WAY too many commercials, though. We'll probably tape tomorrow's show (another 2 hours, right?), then watch the tape, fast-forwarding thru all the ads. One of these years we'll get TiVo... ;-)
