Well, I have to say I'm glad tattoo guy won. I know everybody else didn't like him but I thought they were both rats. I just think tattoo guy could cook better.
Good night, buddy :)
Couldn't have said it better!
Thanks for the thread! Night all!
'Idol' Finalist Constantine Maroulis Got A Lot Done At All Those Parties
MTV.com, 07.28.2005
Complete with typical Lt. Dan photo by Stephen Shugerman / Getty ImagesTAMPA, Florida Between the time he was eliminated from "American Idol" and the launch of the finalists' tour, Constantine Maroulis was spotted at Tara Reid-like numbers of Hollywood parties.
Before you knock the guy for his hyper-socializing, however, consider the networking he accomplished. In those few short months, the New York rocker inked a pilot deal with Kelsey Grammer's production company, booked a fall tour for his band Pray for the Soul of the Betty (see " 'Idol' Singer Constantine Maroulis' Band Inks Label Deal") and talked with several record labels about releasing a solo album.
"I've been busting my butt a long time, trying to get gigs, trying to get acting jobs, finishing school and taking care of my family and everything, so for all of this madness to happen to a guy like me, at my age, and where I was in my work, is just insane," Maroulis explained backstage at a recent American Idols Live tour stop. "I'm glad I can represent for the struggling New York artists, people with an education and a lot of talent that might not be getting a second look right now. I feel like I went out [on 'Idol'] and rocked for all those cats."
Constantine, who had done a lot of theater before the fourth season of "American Idol," plays a musician in the as-yet-untitled series he is developing with Grammer.
"We're looking to find the right home for that," he said. "It's something I think is missing in TV today, a great family drama. We're being very picky right now 'cause we really believe in the project and we want it to last."
Constantine is also still looking for the right home for his solo music. He's talking to "a bunch" of major labels and hopes to have a record in stores by early 2006.
"I've always had a vision of the perfect record I wanna make on my own, so we'll see what happens with that," he said.
In the meantime, Maroulis will appear on Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen, due August 9. The singer worked with the cast of "We Will Rock You," the musical currently playing at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, on a rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody," which he performed on "Idol" to much fanfare.
"Every end of the spectrum is on there, so I'm really psyched about that," Constantine said of the album, which also features Josh Homme, Flaming Lips, Sum 41, Joss Stone, Gavin DeGraw and others. "Oliver Leiber produced [my song]. His father is Jerry Leiber, and Leiber and Stoller was one of my favorite songwriting teams of all time, so to work with him was just awesome."
To me, news would be that Lt Dan washed his hair! LOL!!
Now, what were you saying about Clay? *sweet smile*
I guess you're right. All the food looked disgusting no matter who made it :)
Clay Aikens charity isnt charitable
By Jeannette Walls
MSNBC, July 20, 2005Looks like Clay Aikens charity isnt terribly charitable.
Aiken co-founded the Bubel/Aiken foundation to benefit children with disabilities, but a document filed with the Internal Revenue Service revealed that of the more than $1 million the group raised last year, less than a third was handed out in grants.
More than $150,000 went for travel expenses, $173,000 for professional services, and nearly $150,000 for salaries. One of the reasons for the high expenses was high-profile galas held in places like Los Angeles and Hawaii.
Aikens rep didnt return The Scoops call for comment, but his partner, co-founder Diane Bubel, told WRAL-TV in Raleigh that critics are misrepresenting the situation. Were volunteering and doing something good, and all we hear is complaining, Bubel said.
Oh, boy...I can't wait...Kelsey Grammer must see something in Lt Dan that I/we missed....
Huge mistake. I know I'd never eat at a restaurant where he was the chef. Blech!
Grin...yeah. See 6,250 of 6,252, although if your a fan of his, be forewarned the news is not flattering.
That ain't news. At least not to Clay fans. It's our biggest gripe.
I stopped donating to Bubel/Aiken once I got a look ~inside~.
Clay is so busy as a singer, he hasn't been keeping tabs on what his "good friends" running the charity have been doing.
It's a crying shame. That charity is needed and would have done a world of good if folks weren't using the money to follow Clay around on tour in style.
*no names mentioned out of courtesy*
Actually, I'd rather eat at IHOP than a fancy restaurant any day. Give me some eggs, ham, home fries and pancakes and I'm happy as a clam. :)
Snicker...if you click the link I provided, you'll see it looks as though he still hasn't washed his hair.
Can't imagine what.
I'll take your word on it. Yuck.
It's not doing Clay's reputation any good at all.
Hm, I dunno ... Doens't sound like there's a whole lot of confidence in those words.

LOL!
