Jack's Back
This ep was looking a lot like the La Femme Nikita eps on USA Network a few years back.
Yes, next week is the finale, 2 hours, starting an hour earlier than usual.
What will I do on Monday nights after that?
Thanks for the reminder to tune in at 8 PM instead of 9 PM!
Sorry, I think I made a mistake and sent my reply to you whenit was part of a semi-dialog with another Freeper. I guess my post made no sense to you--or me either--because I somehow mis-sent it. oh well.
It would be a disaster to miss part of the finale! I'd hate to have to wait for the dvds to come out to catch up.
It's easier when you're utterly ruthless like this gal.
She doesn't hesitate.
From last to first?
1) Tony couldn't shoot her. They had to take her alive. They need her to get to Marwan. Tony couldn't shoot to disable her, she had a gun and would certainly be able to kill him if he didn't kill her.
2) Why do they only have 4 guys to get Marwan, but have a helicopter and a dozen agents to take out the two bar-hoppers?
3) How did the cops get to the bar-hoppers place so quick? They couldn't get the police to a shooting at the girl's house two episodes ago, but now the fly their chopper to a scene in 5 minutes and they already have a team of police there.
4) I can't believe they gave up 5 minutes while Audrey tried the interrogation. It would be nice if she would think about this a minute and realise that this proves Jack's point about how to do interrogations.
5) Jack can't leave the building without getting people killed. But how could they let themselves get totally surrounded picking up Marwan?
6) If anybody offers me a Koran, I'm going to refuse it, because I'd hate to do something wrong with it and end up dead. (Wait, that's another thread.....)
7) Jack to Marwan: "That's what you think of us? Well, you are right. If that nuke goes off, we are going to incinerate the middle east, starting with the country you were born in. We will find your family, your friends, your aquantances, and we will nuke them as well. We are the great Satan, you idiot, and you are crazy if you think we won't blow your people into the next life." (Oh, he didn't actually say that, he just said the first sentence, the rest was what I THOUGHT he should say)
8) "It's a STEALTH missle, they must have smuggled it into the country in pieces and re-assembled it" - Is there ANY chance a U.S. made Nuclear weapon would fit on a foreign-made cruise missle? Even with Duct Tape?
I'm thinking about now that "22" might have been a better show. Hoping the last 2 hours are a whole lot better than the last two.
See you next week.....
Coming in late... in the preview for the finale, did I really hear Jack say "nu-cu-lar"? Love it! :-)
For real? I had to do some work that didn't allow me to see most of the show. Do tell!!
ROFL! So, what exactly was the good hands line/context? Missed it. :-(
No was just joking....
Another inconsistency.
Marwan's name comes up on Richard's the list of numbers called. But he wasn't using his real name. If you remember from the raid on the corporation where he worked, he was using the name Richard Harris, or something like that. You would expect he would of used that name when he signed up for his cell phone, not his real name, which is on the list of known terrorists.
Well Im sure you can figure the rest out!
Darn. But funny!
Get out the assorted '24' ping lists...FOX announced today that '24' has been renewed for, get this, TWO more seasons! Comments?
YAY! My hubby won't be too happy, though. He "puts up" with me watching it. Like he has a choice in the matter...
You know, if the writers of 24 really want to shock us, they'll have Tony come back safe and sound. They'll have the happy, reunited couple retire from CTU, buy an old farmhouse in upstate New York, open an antique shop, homeschool their kids, grow organic vegetables, and live happily ever after. Now THAT would be shocking!
Otherwise, it's an overused, old ploy of setting up the viewers' hopes and emotions, only to have them dashed as the newly reunited sweethearts are separated for a final time...by death. Sheesh.
Actually it does. Edgar says later in the show that when they used his phone to make the call to Marwan they installed a snoper program that allowed them to monitor all of his calls. So they knew that he had spoken to his dad and that he was going to visit.
