Jack stood in the Naughty Cell for it seemed like minutes. He fidgeted, watching through the window at the CTU staff who were frantically searching for the lost nuclear warhead. He knew he should be out there, knew that what he had done was wrong. Even so, he couldn't think of any other way to have done it.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Nanny, standing behind Chloe, looking his way. She smiled knowingly and walked over to the Naughty Cell, unlocked it, and went in.

"Now Jack," said Nanny, kneeling to his level and making eye contact, "Are you sorry caused the ex-husband of your girlfriend to snuff it and made her very very angry at you, and are you sorry you violated Chinese sovereign territory?"

"Yes, Nanny, I'm sorry."

"All right then, give us a hug." Jack gave Nanny a big hug and a tearful, sloppy kiss on the cheek.

"Can I go find the nuclear warhead now, Nanny?"

"Yes, Jack, run along."

Dink-cha! Dink-cha! Dink-cha! Dink-cha!

You can't blame Audrey... she's a woman and women act on their feelings.

I'm a woman and I still think Audreys character is a twit. I'm not sure that she's deeply conflicted either. She started having a cow right after Jack started doing his job. All of a sudden, Jack was brutal in her eyes. I understand her position in regards to Paul but she also thought he was in with the terrorists. Then she didn't. In the first few hours of the show, especially when being held hostage, she appeared to be a strong woman. That has changed. I don't expect her to be unemotional or unfeeling. But in the beggining, her character seemed to grasp reality and "how things work". Supposedly, she works for her father. How could she be naive? And I agree that Jack did the correct thing.

AND her father's (who has totally disappeared, where the heck is he?)

I know. Behrooz has disappeared too. There are some loose ends to be tied up. Or at least explained.

"Can someone get me a hacksaw?" (Jack Bauer line from Season 2)

Two of my other favorite Bauer lines, from this season:

"Clear!"

"This will help with the pain."

I agree about the second line. It is my second favorite all time Jack Bauer line (after the hacksaw line from Season 2). But remind me about the first one. What was going on when he said it?

Incidentally, I saw a comment from the real life Kiefer Sutherland to the effect that he is opposed to the death penalty (life isn't good enough to expect that he would actually be a conservative). I'm having a hard time reconciling that statement with "someone get me a hacksaw." :)

Now that is a real nightmare scenario, much worse than anything currently going on in Season 4.

The show didn't say, but Behrooz is probably sleeping with the camels.

He said "Clear!" last night as he was trying to start Paul's heart with the paddles.

I don't know, just something about Kiefer doing a heart procedure that tickled me!

Hey I saw Edgar tonight on a CSI rerun on Spike. He played the room service waiter who bought wine up to the musician's wife who ended up murdered in the hot tub.

He still twalks the same.

He also played a G-man on the second and third seasons of The Sopranos.

Rush didn't think Kiefer is a liberal. He had a lot of fun on the set and got the impression they were all conservatives and listened to him.

Please don't tell me any personal stuff (negative) about anyone on the show.

I have too long a list now of people I can no longer watch or enjoy on tv or in movies.

Well, I think that Jack Bauer, once again, deserves a pass. :) Besides, even many conservative and conservative-leaning people have problems with the death penalty (although I'm not one of them).

I found the whole scene of Jack holding a gun on the doctor hilarious. My first thought was, "Now that's something you don't see every day!" It was a little odd that Paul seemed so strong when the show began and then was gone. Considering that he and Audrey were on the verge of reconciliation, I guess his death shouldn't be surprising. That's an old bait and switch game used by TV and movie writers. That's why I predict Tony will be the one to die. We're being set up as he and Michelle are starting to soften toward each other. The writers are just toying with our emotions. I've seen it happen a hundred times, including Season One with Terri.

Oh, yes, didn't realize it was a reference back to that.

Very cute! Will have to watch that again.

Yes, I think Tony will be the next one to go. Sadly.

I can't see who else it would be but Tony.

If they take Jack out, even though Kiefer has said it's a possibility, and would make sense at some point, it would effectively end the series.

No Jack -- no 24 for a lot of the audience.

Well, maybe it will be Palmer, that would work too, instead of Tony.

I'd really hate to see Tony go.

I think he's more of a libertarian. He likes guns. He tells a funny story about his stepdaughters first date. He had friends come over and they all sat cleaning their guns while the "date" waited for Michelle. The guy got the point. LOL!!
