I'm joking with you of course. Where did the sub machine gun come from?
I knew a guy who claimed to have a WW II German Schmeiser he got out of a vets estate. It might have been true - I dont know.
D'OH!
LOL! Yes, July. It was 80 last week Thursday. Sunday morning, we had snow.
oh man...we had ONE DAY at 85, the rest has been Mother nature trying to figure out what she wants ' Sleet..ok, sleet. Wait, maybe sunshine but cold. No, now lets have some rain -wait, lots of rain '
Make up your mind woman!
It was 84 a couple of days ago, and on Sunday Morning, I was driving through a snowstorm (5 inches) on my way to breakfast.
That's Michigan Weather.
"In 1973 Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned after pleading "no contest" to a charge of income tax evasion. Under the provisions of the 25th Amendment, President Richard Nixon nominated Gerald Ford as the new Vice President. After an extensive investigation of his finances and personal and public history, both houses of Congress confirmed his appointment and he took the oath of office on December 6, 1973."
Texas is like that too in March and April, only down here it is hail and tornados this time of year.
We get those too! Usually in May/June.
He is even on the Allstate commercials that air during 24.
The guy looks a lot like Nixon, especially in profile...wonder if that was intentional??
Jack's already got your number, rintense.
Now that's funny!!!! (the burger king photo)
Leno used the Burger King guy in a joke about wedding guests at Charles & Camilla's wedding. The BK creep was airbrushed in the crowd.
Seven Springs in southwestern PA had seven inches of snow on Sunday. (This is in the elevated areas. The general Pittsburgh area had under an inch, which quickly melted.)
Chloe isn't quite La Femme Nikita...but she's getting there!
The ending was so cool, I have to change my entire attitude now -- Chloe rules, and now I like her dark, mysterious glances. And the way she ran roughshod over the fat white computer guy (that would be me in real life).
I'll even go easy on the complaints. I'll stick to just one complaint:
Given that we haven't been able to get anybody to where they needed to be quickly enough to catch Marwan, how is it that the Secret Service Agents sent to arrest Jack got there so quickly?
I don't think we can really blame the SS for screwing up the Marwan strike -- we all know that when they started moving on the club the lookout would have seen them anyway, CTU can't sneak up on a blind/deaf/mute. Remember last week and the "stealth" boat strike.
Other questions brought up in tonight's posts:
1) The Stealth was announced as being shot down. There was no clear indication that a pilot was recovered from the wreckage, but they may just be ignoring that.
2) Audrey is actually behaving normally. Remember that Jack tortured her husband and he seemed innocent; then he promised to keep him safe and he is near death. She was going to break up with him, but she obviously loved him at one point, and I think it is reasonable that she would be mad at Jack and all the rules he is breaking and how it is getting innocent people hurt. She's wrong, but it is explanable without thinking she is evil.
3) The will not make Palmer president. It would take too long. He'll just take action while the VP/Pres watches. Until it is time for a plot twist, and the VP/Pres will overrule Palmer, and there will be a dramatic showdown.
4) On the other hand, while we all know it takes congress to appoint a new VP, the show doesn't have to follow the rules.
LOL!
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. A few people around here made me feel like I'd missed something terribly important.
