I don't know WHAT she's allergic to!! I actually thought of cat fur. She sits on top of a cat castle I have that is covered in carpet. I put a big fluffy towel over the top and wash it every second day. I changed cat foods. The vets office sold this one called C/D hypoallergenic cat food. It's made of duck meat and potato mash!! I'm in a quandry that's for sure.

Well, I hope your cat is going to be alright. I have never heard of an allergic cat, really, but I've only had two in my adult life.

My CC threw an embolis in his leg a couple of months ago. The vet, who I really respect, wanted to do a lot of work-ups and such. But, I told her that I wasn't going to do that again, as he had an exotic life threatening disease six years ago and I wasn't going to put him through that again. So she prescribed one-half baby aspirin twice a week and he is doing fine.

He soon began going on long jaunts again and hunting. But, this week has been difficult for him with the deep snowfall here. He likes to do his business outside and can't. So, he has to use his large throne litterbox in the basement. Lawd, I had forgotten how yucky it is to clean it. LOL

Maybe the detergent you wash the towel in?

I know this sounds weird but, you haven't changed things around in your house, especially in the area where your kitty likes to play, sleep, eats, etc, have you ? New furniture, new draperies ... anything like that ? Cats have been known to become very destructive when their habitat is disturbed....

Also, the last dog I had became allergic to her own hormones. She'd be fine for months then suddenly in a 12 to 24 hr period she'd bite the area around her rump so serverely that she'd pull out all the hair and really create a mess. Steroids helped make her comfortable but the problem finally stopped when I had her spayed.
