Sitting here on the New Madrid fault, I can't imagine anything more terrifying than an earthquake...followed by tidal waves or whatever they are called.

We're all located over some sort of fault or other - here it's the Balcones Fault...who knows when it might shift?

A tsunami (pronounced tsoo-nah-mee) is a wave train, or series of waves, generated in a body of water by an impulsive disturbance that vertically displaces the water column.

Yup, I'd take a tornado over an earthquake. And I've heard if/when the New Madrid goes it'll be a biggie.
