Wow that sounds like a fun trip you had for the first Inaugural. We are looking forward to it, although Mr. Prairie will be doing business and as such has been invited to an open house along the parade route which is where we will be instead of on the street at parade time. I will have to meet up with the FReepers at the Ball I guess.

I hope to see the WWII memorial and do some other sightseeing as well. We have relatives in the area and are trying to link up with them too.

Your trip itinerary sounds wonderful. And you get to stay warm for the inaugural parade, too. What are you wearing to the ball?

We did. It was a wonderful and memorable day, you should enjoy your time there. The memorials are always a treat to visit, can't wait till they make one for Reagan to counter the Roosevelt one.........not likely for a while considering our Demorat politicians.....

Our ball was very cool, got to meet some famous folks and their families....notably Spencer Abraham and James Dobson. Got to meet and listen to a "neutral"ha ha journalist on the way to the ball.......these people are so blinded to reality, talking with him really drove it home. He was the "Washington bureau chief" for an Indianapolis paper.

Was mainly impressed with the people we met in the crowds at the actual ceremony outside. They were from everywhere, all regular folks just enjoying the change of the guard, almost all absolutely agreed on the shamefulness of the prior admin. and the hope for the future as a result. These folks aren't going to forget if Hillary runs.....
