Squat Toilet proponents say they are more sanitary since you don't put your bum where someone else has put their's... True .. but it's almost like peeing out in the woods .. except you squat and pee in a hole in the floor

In a time of big deficits and needed cash for the military etc. I don't find these "raises" one bit appropriate. NO regular employee in any position has the option to vote themselves a raise. Our Government does this too. It pisses me off royally!!

The "perks" p*ss me off even more. Like our politicians with their "Special barbers" in the Parlimentary compound somewhere just ready to give all these pigs with their snouts in the public trough, their $75.00 hair cuts every month. Of course paid by us the peons.

Some were surprised by the opulence in some of the toilets. In addition to tile work and marble in some of the toilets, there were sometimes lovely planted areas. 
BUGARIA
In Bulgarian visited a 16th century home that was complete with two "indoor" toilets. We couldn't resist taking a picture since it was like none other that we had seen. I think men have more trouble with regular seats because they hang in the bowl...women do not have that trouble!:)

One suggestion for Asian and Near East travel was to carry one of those portable RV toilets like you have, only forget the plastic bags, just place it over the hole, sit down and go....LOL
