Why won't they sell you twenty?

I'm a member of their discount club (added 10% off, except for closeouts like this). I was flagged for buying 10, and got the email when I tried to buy 20 more.

They will sell me more, but then I get kicked out of their club. I buy a lot of stuff from them, so staying in the club has its advantages. Especially since these knives don't carry the 10% discount.

Any of you can sign on there, buy a couple, and "get away with it". While supplies last.

I'm emailing the guy at BladeMatrix (who came up with our CRKT stash), and inform him of the closeout status of these knives. He may be able to locate a supply, or even buy us a bunch at Sportsman's Guide.

I etimate we will send one Camillus "Black Ops" for every five CRKT 57xx.

On a more-pleasant Sportsman's Guide note, I got that long-gun computer safe today. VEY impressive, it's basically a 10-pound cast-aluminum "purse", made by the same people who make those computerized handgun safes that you bolt to the wall, bed, etc. I have one of those safes, which is where that nickel S&W snubbie is kept. It's the only "hot" weapon I have in the house.

For this long-gun safe, the mounting bracket detaches from the inside. So you can bolt it to a wall stud, then remove the gun, and take the safe off. This lets you travel with the safe around the action of the weapon. I could see using the cable mounts to secure the safe to one of the cargo tiedowns in the back of my Jimmy. The safe has the California seal of approval, which means it satisfies even the gun-grabbers.

The only downside I see is that the interior is molded hard plastic, and seems intended only for a "smooth-sided" pump or semiauto shotgun or rifle. No bolt actions, no separate pistol grips. I may have to reconfigure my Mossberg to fit. The shotgun has a sling with 25 rounds of assorted shotshells in the loops. It should be able to hang outside of the safe.

Pictures some day of the setup, if I ever get up enough ambition to install it.
