Evening Gents - There has been some foot bows from that era reproduced. Archer lays on his back, feet on the bow and pulls the string back with both hands. Can heave a big arrow quite a way. The ones I heard about were fairly long 7-8 foot or so. Wood design mechanics gets a bit different when dealing in those dimensions and weights, or so I'm told. Would be interesting to say the least in any event.

Osage, we rented and watched the Disney movie, "King Arthur" a couple days ago. I have to say that we thought it was very lousy, on several levels, the primary one being that it is truly boring, not to mention poorly acted.

I was interested in the various bows used, though...seems like a few flat bows made an appearance, that seems wrong to me.

Fun watching it anyway.
