Laura Ingraham v. Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 12/09/2004 10:46:05 AM PST by mojojockey

I know of some FReepers who say Laura Ingraham is much better than Rush Limbaugh. Since I don't get her on the radio where I live, I listen to Limbaugh. So is Laura really better than Limbaugh? If so why?

Laura's OK if you like listening to fingernails scraping a chalkboard for 3 hours a day.

She is bright all right, so is Rush. Rush is on a mission, and his deconstruction of the Liberal linguistics is well underway. Laura is oriented to human relations. A whole different thing.

I agree. Rush is in his own universe. But Laura is fresh, funny, intelligent, and articulate in her own right. I like them both. Laura's broadcast on KSFO in SF from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m., and "the Rush Replay" is on KFBK in Sacramento from 10:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., so there's no conflict for me.

No....not at all... I should have said his show is "addictive". I think Laura Ingraham has that description of her show posted on her website.

I listen to both. I prefer Rush and would always choose him over Laura in a head to head battle, but thankfully, I can listen to her online in the evenings.

Laura's show is a bit less serious and usually features lighter fare than Rush's. There is a place for both and I definitely enjoy both.

Once they start streaming Mark Levin on the web so the world outside NY can hear him, the world will be a better place! :)

Rush is king of his domain. It's just Rush, and if he ever actually takes a caller, it's almost as an afterthought. But he's the best at what he does. He will always be king.

Laura's show is more of a variety, as you say. She has guests on who are usually pretty good; she even has lefties on on occasion (for instance, she cut into a Planned Parenthood spokesperson recently that was done like a fisherman boning a fish). I like Laura's banter with Lee and Matt. They just sit in the background and laugh. They crack me up. They all obviously enjoy doing the show. And I will never forget the segment she did on abortion -- one of the most powerful couple of hours of talk radio I've every heard, even going up against callers who were pro-abort doctors. Laura was fabulous. I've heard Rush eloquently defend the pro-life position, but Laura was absolutely stellar -- she was like an archangel with a flashing sword on the issue. We need to hear more of that kind of radio. I'm not sure Rush could take hostile calls on the abortion issue for one or two hours. Laura obviously can, and she does it victoriously.

Listen to Laura here http://www.davidzinkin.com/lauralinks.html

Laura has the quickest analysis I have ever seen and it makes her the best debater for the right.

She is better then Hannity and she is darn near better than Rush.

Laura Ingraham v. Rush Limbaugh

I guess Rush could be considered cute, but come on, there is no comparison!
