It's propaganda from one end to the other in the same manner that "The Cider House Rules" was propaganda from one end to the other, only it isn't about abortion, it's another controversial issue.

There's no profanity in this movie except for the character of a priest. Gee! I wonder why Hollywood did that? What message were they trying to send. Think about it, this flick is supposed to be about the nitty gritty of boxing, and there's no profantiy except for a priest? Give me a break!

The movie was well done, there isn't any rule that says propaganda has to be crude you know.

Never saw Cider House. But I fell for this one. I didn't know it was about euthenasia. For the movie to even work as progaganda, Maggie's family must first be painted as vulturous idiots and a Catholic priest must (practically) damn Frank's soul without offering any hope or help.
