I just have to say how impressed I am with those 3 jurors. Even the one with that fake funny hair is not going to take anything off anybody. Last night she said, "I don't second guess myself". I guess you'd have to have a lot of self confidence to have hair like that at her age.
During the press conference I got the distinct impression that these guys thought the press were a bunch of nincompoops.
They've been required by law to keep all their thoughts and opinions to themselves thruout this case. Now the press wants to ask stoopit questions.
I thought the 2 men were more thoughtful than Strawberry Shortcake and gave deeper, more meaningful answers.

I believe that everyone everywhere must, when considering today's world and its music, agree that the music of the '30s, '40s, '50s, '60s, and '70s was the best that man had to offer. It is, in my opinion, music that determines social outcome. Is it coincidental that love flourished in our society during that period? Love flouished because love was in the air waves, love was everywhere. Today, music depicting violence and dissension are in the air waves and, as a consequence, violence and dissension now flourish. Music bears great significance in any society. Music could easily be a tool of influence and propaganda. I believe that the chicken came before the egg and that the egg is the reflection.
The path we walk is both wondrous and fleeting. Cast your light upon the darkness and, in unity, the veil of fear will ascend.

I'm happy to report my computer is whizzing along! Thanks for all the tips and encouragement along the way. I've been working on (stressing over) this for a week and last night a lot of things gelled.
Ever since someone first showed me how to check my unused disk space 3 yrs ago, I've never had more than a tiny sliver of available space on my system. A warning about running out of disk space was the first sign of my problem. After last night I now actually have more UNused space than used! I freed up almost 4 GB of disk space!
The biggest element was unrelated to viruses. It had to do with old email cache files in Outlook Express, which I stopped using 2 years ago. Also Windows temp files (not Temp Internet Files). Maybe I'm the only person on earth who didn't know how to "compact" old Outlook files or clean up those temp files. But the last week of reading geeky websites paid off when I came across those two actions.

Recommended by my "geeky" out of town nephew in law.
They try to sell it to you, but decline to buy and a window will pop up saying you have a free trial period (60 days, I think). Nephew said after the trial period they'll ask you to buy it for $30. When you decline, it will say "How 'bout 99 cents?!". LOL! He spent the pennies.
It found some nasty hijackers my other programs hadn't deleted.
Anyway, I'm happy as a clam this morning, feeling pretty proud of myself. I've gotten enough confidence now to actually go in and delete a lot of extraneous stuff in my start up and program files without crashing. If any of you need any details, let me know and I'll gladly share.

I'm about to shoot this computer. I was out late last night covering a contentious local meeting about smoking regulations, drove home over icy, slick roads, wrote a massive news story and emailed it to the editor - only to find out this morning that it didn't get to him. So I checked my "sent" file, and there's nothing there! Not only that, the story's missing from my word processing files. In sum, I've lost nearly four hours' work. I cannot stomach the thought of trying to recreate it, either.
Acckkk! That IS stomach-churning! I've never had anything like that happen. Have you done a system search for it? Maybe it got "hidden" somehow.
I'm pretty sure I screwed up the word processing file, but I can't figure why the entire message disappeared from my email sent file.
