I never watch that show, but I did pause on it while surfing and watched Ivana try and talk her way out of the situation. She was incredibly disrespectful and aggressive toward Donald. I thought Carolyn was going to come out of her chair and slap her.
I think we might have just hit on the problem.
That's the problem, Carolyn is shouting down people and not letting them have their say. Lousy management style in my opinion.
This doesn't change the fact that women should be banned from the workplace.
On FoxNews today, Ivana said they were short-shorts.
I've never watched the show and won't until the Donald gets rid of that croissant growing out of his head.
Did you miss the "Well, then fix it!" statement from ol' Carolyn. Plus getting herself a new hairdo and makeup hasn't helped her any. She's still a "yes" woman to a guy who is losing money in a casino business, for heaven sakes!
You must live in Wisconsin. When I lived there, that was the consensus of all males I encountered.
Well, do work for someone?
If so, would you go on national TV and show him up or disagree with him all the time. Her job is to observe, give The Donald advice, and put in her two cents every once in a while.
She's not there to argue or grandstand. It's his show.
Yep, ZERO male unemployment!
Did you not see the show? These were not "a candy" bars. These were hand selected, after hours of pre-selecting a SMALL run that might, possibly be fit for inspection. And then a good portion of THOSE - were thrown out! These were treated as if they were proof sets at the mint. This was not a production run. Don't you remember?
I doubt Carolyn would ever actually shout anyone down in managing a golf course. It does make for great TV, though..
But, if she knew she was going to pull this little stunt-then she could have planned ahead to minimize her exposure on TV..
The very premise of the show is to feed Trump's ego and get Trump publicity while making money for Trump. The contestants are merely stage props.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Trump gets what he wants, the stage props get their 15 minutes of fame, Carolyn gets to write a book that sells and we get entertainment.
If any contestant winner stays in the Trump organization after their first year on the "job" they won, it will be in the role of a publicity novelty with Trump playing the part of the organ grinder.
Look, as Ivana would say - I just think you're wrong. I agree with the others, here. The show has a very flimsy and incredible premise. Take a guy who ran a retail cigar website and have him build an 80 story skyscraper in downtown Chicago. Well, the guy has NO experience in construction, none as a general contractor, none as a financier, etc. Yet the building is being built, nonetheless. How is that possible. Is the man a figurehead?
And if so - why? To what purpose. Again, I agree with others who also suggest that the show is merely a promotional vehicle both for the 'Trumpname' and for those like Mars and Pepsi which are attempting to hype their own products. The apprentices, so-called, are merely backdrop; extras in their own show. If in order to promote Denver-mint quality candy bars, never to be seen again, they have to send these Harvawd MBA's out into the street to hustle the bars, one by one, then they'll do just that. If it makes 'em drop 'trou', then so much the better for the ratings - correct? The show is misnamed. They're clowns in Trump's circus.
