Joining in with prayers.
:-) COOL! That means that we all have a week's worth of prayer to cover this person with before they come back to work, and deal with a decision. I don't take that as meaning we can put it off, but, rather >>> We have a whole week to cover this person with prayers regarding the decision and the outcome! WOW!!!
Let's do it! :-)
May our Lord provide job security for this young person. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Approx. 20 years ago a retired missionary couple in their sixties opened a small home to help homeless young ladies. They were taught the love of the Lord, the word of God and assisted with job training and placement.
I know this wonderful couple personally, they are full of the Lord, full of integrity, values, kindness, love, in short everything that was needed to minister to the need present in that area of their state, a need that no one else including the state was meeting.
They were full, donations were coming in, everything was going perfectly and then the state got on their case. They tried to close them using every excuse and regulation in the book and finally succeeded by applying a rule that was written for nursing homes and hospitals. In order to stay open they had to build a number of additional bathrooms. At this point, they had already spent everything they had to comply with some obscure and needless regulations and had to close the doors and the young lady's had to go back to the streets.
This wonderful Christian couple was worn out and down by the state who after closing them down did not assist the young ladies this couple and their small staff were assisting.
I believe that Compassionate Care is still going to work on trying to be affiliated with McKennan, as a back up....I don't think there has been a decision on that part yet, as the person to make the final decision was out of the office until today.
Another hurdle is coming this Friday, when the surveyor returns to determine if Compassionate Care is making the corrections necessary to meet the state's requirements to stay open.
ON THE PRAISE END....I want to share this email that came from my friend who works at Compassionate Care.
You are all wonderful and I appreciate you so much. We have had some wonderful answers to prayer. The situation at work is so much better and yes, I will have a job come Christmas! To start with, the surveyor with the state who gave us this bad report called my director who was very honest about her misinterpretations and how their demand to get an inpt. contract has tied our hands due to the political climate. She actually listened and heard!!! The next day she called again and stated she would accept the inpt. contract that they initially approved and then denied. Her mood toward us also changed drastically and she has gone way out of her way to help us respond appropriately to the survey with our plan of correction. We found out yesterday that she is approving our responses. The only hurdle is that she will come out on Friday or early next week to verify our documentation of the things we have accomplished. We have been working really hard to get everything in order and it is looking very very good.
The most wonderful thing is to see my Director! We have prayed together as staff and last week she really seemed to be "giving it over to the Lord". One day she was looking high and low for a book that she really needed and she stated she prayed about it and the Lord told her where to look and it was there. Those were her words!!! I really love my job. The whole staff, 5 full-time women and 2 on-call chaplains are all Christians. I go to church with 3 of them. I just thank you and thank God for his faithfullness. We serve an awesome God!!!
Thank you again!
***** In the past week, I have also seen my daughter blossom, and hear how God is using her to touch the lives of the patients in her care. It brings tears to my eyes!!
Thank you for your prayers, thus far! Please keep praying us through the last few hurdles!!!
May you all be as blessed as we feel right now!
Prayers sent.
