I haven't watched SNL in a while. It's simply not funny anymore. Their writing has done nothing but try to convey a political message and it is disappointing. MAD TV did it tonight too. When all the writers and actors do is use these shows as a soapbox, it's not funny and usually ends up irritating me. This is supposed to be about comedy. I long for the glory days of both shows.

Unfortunately, it will probably only get worse as the ire from Bush's re-election continues to grow on the left.

You're absolutely right, SNL hasn't been funny since the days of John Belushi (well, "Mister Robinson's Neighborhood" was good;)
Haven't watched since then, though!
