It's all starting to make sense now. 
I grew up in Palo alto. Second to eighth grade. I remember fisherman's Wharf, Kezar Stadium(bet you don't know what that was), cliff House (is it still there?), the planitareum in Golden Gate Park, and lots of other stuff.

Yes, I remember seeing the abandoned Kezar ghetto area, and you are right, the Cliff House was just torn down and remodeled. My parents live near there now so I always walk over when I go home. I haven't seen the latest incarnation. Wow. OK, gotta go brave the 35 degree weather, be back shortly. At least no snow here YET.
