What a wonderful day...I now have the Christmas spirit. The grandkids came over and decorated the Christmas cookies this afternoon. Funny in that they won't eat them after they make them because they do not want to destroy their creations. LOL

Then this evening, I, PaPa, my daughter and the kids went driving to see the lights. My six year old Jenna insists that we do so in my van, as that is how she remembers it from the first time. She is the traditionalist in the family. So, as they got into the van, I said "all aboard and give your tickets to the bus driver". They giggled and played the game during the whole tour. They would tell the bus driver PaPa where they wanted to go.

We went downtown to the Hudson's furniture store where the family has been putting an elaborate display in their front window for over sixty years. Then Jenna directed the bus driver to drive across our new bridge to the Illinois side. It is a beautiful bridge. And then we happened upon a live nativity scene outside a church, with a live camel, donkey and some sheep.

Merry Christmas. My heart is full tonight.

Sounds lovely when you mention Hudson it brought back memories of JL Hudson who use to sponsor the Christmas and Easter parades in downtown Detroit!

Sounds like a wonderful day. I am thrilled to have Dawn and Tyler here and I am looking forward to making more memories with them.
