O-MG! Are you serious?

We have about 6 of them out in that area, now. Every so often one will get up, eat, and return to it's spot. :)I guess they are okay but wish I had a better wind break for them.

I have spotlights in that area. Wonder if I could turn them on and warm up that spot? Those lights are in the ground. It would help for heat purposes, but might scare them away? Especially tonight?

Dunno.
Mourning Doves are an odd critter.
My mother in law had a hanging basket for a few years, and every year a Mourning Dove would nest in it.
Last year some squirrels knocked the basket down.
My mother in law, who doesn't like birds, absolutely HAD to get the birds a new basket.

Not sure what you can do for them for heat.
And not sure how they'd respond to you trying to help them.
They might frighten off and leave the eggs to the cold.
