Yes, we have registered sex offenders all over the county here. Our Sheriff Jordon puts them all on his updated website...names, addresses and nature of the crime. I looked it up a couple of times and determined that most live in junky cheap housing in bad neighboorhoods or in apartment complexes in better parts of town. Of course, these are the registered ones and not those who have slipped through the law. God only knows how many are running around free because a wimpy prosecuter didn't want to do his job. But, we don't seem to have many of those around here, really.

I ended up spending most of the day in court, then had to do a visit with these 2 kids and their dad and stepmom. It is obvious that these are the only 2 people that these older 2 children are really bonded to. I ended up having to take the little girl back to her foster home and she cried the whole way because she wanted to be with her "mommy" meaning her stepmom. As with every other day, I found out even more interesting stuff today. After a meeting with all the attorneys before the hearing, it appears that this case has been unofficially declared the worst we have in our court. I JUST got home. Now, ask me how much work I got done on any of my other cases.
